On behalf of the Black Graduate Students Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (BGSA), we welcome you to our community!
As you will see, BGSA has been recognized as the primary student organization addressing the needs of Black graduate students since 1968. BGSA offers its members leadership training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, career placement services and a place to meet other students with similar goals.
As the team of student leaders who have been entrusted with the honorable responsibility of leading this organization, the primary goal of the BGSA Executive Board is to create spaces where people like you, with shared experiences from different backgrounds, can engage, connect, develop, and find support in safe, affirming environments.
